New NHS Pharmacy First Service

The new NHS Pharmacy First Service will be available to patients in our community from 31st January 2024.

This means you will be able to get treatment for seven common conditions are your local pharmacy – without needing to see your GP.

You will be able to access this service by visiting your local pharmacy, or via referrals from:

NHS 111 (online, telephone and NHS App)
your GP surgery
other authorised healthcare providers

People who have been referred to the pharmacy with symptoms of these seven conditions will be provided with advice and medication, including antibiotics where necessary.
