Are you a Carer?

Please get in touch with us if you think you may be a Carer. Sometimes your caring responsibilities increase slowly without you realising it.

Sometimes we find it difficult to admit that we are a Carer for someone as they may be a Parent, husband or wife or even a child.

We can refer you to Worcestershire Association of Carers who can offer valuable guidance and also support you to complete forms etc.

We need to record that you are a Carer on our system so we can offer you relevent guidance, appointments and also your annual flu vaccine.

Veteran Friendly Practice

We are part of a number of practices that have received Veteran Friendly accreditation. Our lead GP for this area, Dr Carter, has done the relevant training to allow us as a practice to better support this group of patients.

If you are an Armed Forces Veteran, please inform the practice who will record this in your clinical record. If you have an illness/disease that is related to your time in the armed forces you may be given priority appointments where necessary.

Health Care Navigators

The receptionist is under instruction from the Doctors to ask you why you need an appointment. This is so she can make sure that you are given an appointment with the appropriate person. For example a patient was recently booked in for a minor surgery appointment with a GP who could not perform the minor surgery. This caused a wasted journey for the patient and a wasted appointment for the Doctor.

Our receptionists are highly trained to ask appropriate questions to determine the exact need of the patient. Please be understanding when you telephone to book an appointment.
